i have a query about construction on 4th floor which is a roof

i want to buy a floor in delhi but the floor is situated in 4th floor the contractor give us only roof paper but he denied to give me the official paper of the room built on the roof . can you please help me what can i do ? or is this legal

Constructing fourth floor itself is illegal and if you happen to buy it then MCD can demolish the same anytime and you won’t get water n electricity connection for fourth floor. Therefore it is not a good idea to buy illegal properties You must hire expert advocate before buying any property Plz be in touch

you can check whether the construction is valid as per the sanctioned map of the building. a copy of the sanction map can be obtained from the contractor. however if he refuses you can file an RTI in the concerned government department to get a copy of the sanction map. should you have any questions please feel free to contact me.
