15-Jun-2023 (In Property Law)
Sir,I have rs150000 to property dealer for a janta house and register my name on stamp paper but now my family refuse to purchase these house. He not refund my money where I complain?
Hi,
You have rightful ground for claiming back amount. If you have paid stamp duty you can go to District Collector/ Sub Collector/ Deputy Collecter/ Tehsildar under Section 2(9) of Indian Stamp Act through sub- registrar duly mentioning the explanation for seeking refund. In case you paid amount to property dealer, file a case against him on the grounds that even after cancellation of agreement he is not paying back money.

A case can be filed for recovery of money against the concerned person and in the meanwhile you may also file FIR against him so as to he does not flee with your money. Pursuing both remedies are ideal for you at this stage.
