How to get compensation for a contested will after 30 years?

23-Jul-2023 (In Property Law)
A grandson was debarred from inheriting ancestral property in the name of his grandfather by a will made by him. Grandson was also residing in the same property. The will was contested in the court and grandfather passed away before judgement. The judgement allowed grandson to inherit the ancestral property. The judgement of district court was challenged in the high court by other legal heirs and the matter was pending. Meanwhile an our of court settlement was reached between the legal heirs to share the property equally and order/decree was issued by high court to record the same. As the court proceeding lasted for 30 years, is the earlier debarred shareholder entitled to damages/compensation from other legal heirs who were all party to the legal proceeding?
