How to get back the possession of my paternal property

15-Feb-2023 (In Property Law)
Dispossession of Paternal property We have our paternal house in Bagmari, Kolkata. The house was purchased by my father in 1956 in the name of my mother. My father died in June, 1994. Thereafter my sisters especially my second sister & her husband regularly created disturbance in our family taking the advantage of the age of my mother. They lodged fake complaint to Manicktola P.S in the name of my mother and the concerned officer used to threaten me regularly and asked us to leave the house. This continued for several months. The disturbances created by them regularly were unbearable and we apprehend to be victimized of some conspiracy. Ultimately, we were forced to leave the house one night, keeping all the belongings of myself, our family and my wife brought during her marriage. While leaving, we kept under lock & key all belongings of myself and my wife brought during her marriage in first floor of the house. How can we get back the house & belongings?

Yes you will get the possession of your property and your belongings for the same. For that purpose you will have to file a partition suit claiming your share in the property.
