08-May-2025 (In Property Law)
We have got an arbitration award in our favour with mutual consent of the opponent and it has been filed for execution in High Court. How much time can it take for completing the execution process. In general how much time it can take ?

So you've won an arbitration with your opponent agreeing, and now you've asked the High Court to make them pay. How long will that take? Well, because both sides agreed in the first place, it should be quicker than a regular court fight. Once you've filed with the High Court, they'll tell your opponent they need to pay. Getting that message to them and them showing up in court can take some time, depending on how busy the court is. After that, the court will start the process of finding their money or things they can sell to pay you. This can take longer if they try to argue or if figuring out what they own is complicated. Generally speaking, for a case where everyone agreed at the start, it might take around six months to a year to get the payment through the High Court. But this is just a rough guess. It could be faster if everything goes smoothly, or it could take longer if there are any bumps in the road, like disagreements about what they own or delays in the court process. We'll do everything we can to make it happen as quickly as possible for you.
