How can we divide our ancestral property

How to divide the ancestors property among father, father's wife ,3 sons and their three wifes??
Firstly how do you say it is ancestral property?
Do you profess Hinduism or Islam Or Christian?
The succession rules are different and are as per the personal law.
Presuming you are an Hindu, the ancestral property as a share in the hands of the father shall be again divide into 4 shares, out of which the father and the three sons shall take one share each. the wife of father and wives of sons are not entitled to any share during the lifetime of their respective husbands.
