How can grandchildren claim their share in property ?

My grandfather died in 1987 without any will.after his death,his 2 sons(my father and his brother) divided the property among them.So this property is my father's self acquired property or ancestral property??my father is having 4 son and 2 daughter.i am his elder son.my father is denying my share.how will the property divided??do my sister have a share in this property??
1) grandsons have no right in self acquired property of grandfather
2) on grand father demise intestate his property would devolve on grandmother , his sons and daughters
3) during lifetime of his children grandsons have no right on grandfather property
