Handover of the property to in absence of the owner

Hi, I am NRI. My mother's apartment is ready for handover procedure but since she cannot go to India to receive the key can I as her son take handover of the apartment. If yes what document do I need from embassy in my place to complete the process.
Yes, as an NRI and the son of the property owner, you can take the handover of your mother's apartment on her behalf. To do so legally, you will need a Power of Attorney (PoA) executed by your mother in your favor.
