Guidelines to buy agricultural land in other state

18-Jan-2023 (In Property Law)
Hi, I am a hindu, resident of Hyderabad. I am planning to buy agricultural land in Karnataka. I come from IT background and I am interested in taking up farming full time. I do not own any agricultural land currently and my parents/grand-parents are not from agricultural background. My family income from all sources is less than 25 Lks. Given the above 1) Am I eligible to buy agri land in Karnataka? 2) If Dy.Comm permission is required, how difficult it is to get it given my background? 3) Is Malabar Neem (Melia Dubia) considered as plantation crop in Karnataka (i.e., it is the only crop grown in the land)? Your early response is much appreciated.

In some states of India, non-agriculturists are not permitted to buy agricultural land, Enquire from a local lawyer or local registration office if such rule is prevailing in your state. If no such rule prevails in your State, you can buy agricultural land and become a farmer.
