The share of the legal heirs in the property would depend on certain factors. If you are Hindu by religion then the legal heirs would be your Grandmother, your Aunt, you and your brother and any such remaining family members who are Class I heirs under the Hindu Succession Act. You will all inherit his property in equal proportion. For Muslims and Christians there are again different laws applicable. Further, certain communities such as Lingayats have their own laws of inheritance. If this response does not answer your query sufficiently, do post your query again with more details.
