Father got property from his grandmother through Will 30 years back
28-Apr-2023 (In Property Law)
Father got a property from his grandmother through Will. The property was ancestral and it was given 30 years back. Now father's brothers are asking for share in it. Do they have legal right in it? The property is in the name of my father and we in possession of it for past 30 years.
Property received through partition or through a will is regarded as a self acquired property. He will have the complete right over the property and nobody can claim for share in the property. After his death, his legal heir can claim for share in the property.
