Father died before 2005. Do we need daughters consent to sell property

03-Nov-2023 (In Property Law)

As per the new ruling of Hon. Supreme Court that daughters are not equal sharer of property if the father expired before 2005. If we want to sell the property we need daughters signature or we can sell without their signatures?

The judgement is pertaining to ancesteral property.

However if the property of father is self acquired and your father died without a Will then as per Section 10 of the Hindu Succession Act, daugthers will become the owner in the fathers property.
