Expiry of stamp duty E-challan for property registration

Hi,
I lives in Pune. Me and my wife has booked a flat in March 2023. We had paid required stamp duty and registration fee on 29th March 2023. Finally the builder now come with schedule for registration, However we both are out of India right now and can't come before 12th October 2023. In this case, how to proceed, as the builder is saying that the challan will expire in this month September 2023.
Please advice.
In such case you may ask for refund of amount paid by challan due to inability to register the document you are required to appoint someone as Power of Attorney for for applying for refund of stamp duty It may take 3 to 4 months also and meanwhile you will have to pay stamp duty for registration after you return from abroad
