Don't share Gmail password to our Co operative society all members

Our Co-Operative Housing Society created a mail id which provided in our official group.But secretary do not share mail id password among our society members.She told that only borad directors can track mails from others.other members of our Co-Operative Society have no right to access mail password.Is she true?what are solutuion?pls guide us.
