Don' t want to sell property but received token money
02-Apr-2023 (In Property Law)
Few days back i was planning to sell my land. I meet with one party at the property dealer office and our deal finalized with 31 lacs. He gave me cheque of Rs 51000 as token money. After one week my parents told me not to sell the plot and make your own house on the land. Then i called to the party that now i cannot sell my plot as my parents told me to make my own house on it. Now he is asking the double amount of token money and threatening me that he will push me to court as i cheated him and it is and criminal offence. There is no agreement of selling land between us
you may deposit the amount if you have deposited the cheque in your account in his bank account without their knowledge.
