Documentation required for selling joint property
16-Nov-2023 (In Property Law)
We have a joint property (multistoried apartment) which we want to sell jointly. Currently in KMC bill 5 primary owners' name us being shown, out of which 3 members have died. My question is what are the documentation (deed etc.) needed in order to execute the sale. We have the deed of ownership in the names mentioned in the Corporation tax bill.
Dear client,
As per the details provided by you my suggestions would be that you need the original title deeds pertaining to the property and the death certificate of the deceased owners, mutation certificates, tax bills of corporation and it totally depends upon the lawyer of the purchaser the nature of the documents required. Make sure that the legal heirs of the deceased owners are made parties to the Deed of Sale.
