Division of property between 2 daughters when parents are alive
28-Jan-2023 (In Property Law)
I am the co-applicant in my housing loan of Rs.5 lakhs taken in 2004 for house building done on fathers ancestral property. I am married n stay in a different state that of my father. Last year when I visited my home, due to constant differences with my only sister who is married but stays with her son at our home, I asked my father to divide the property n give me the ground floor to live. But my father disagreed saying he will not divide property till both parents are alive and only after both parents expires I will get separate part. Now my question is whether I can claim my part of the property where I have invested or not in this case. Moreover my father retired in 1997 and I have invested in house building loan of first floor and part ground floor, TV, fridge, washing machine, car. sently ground, first and half of 2nd floor is there where ground floor is on rent, 1st is self occupied and 2nd floor is lying vacant. Please advice. I am married 2 years back and Hindu.
