Disputed Ancestral Land Transfer

08-May-2025 (In Property Law)
In 1935, my great-grandfather bought 17 acres in Ayodhya, registered under my grandfather’s name. In 1972, a 5-year lease to Harku appeared, but no sale deed exists. Later, the land was transferred to Harku’s family. My grandfather was in Ranchi in 1972, suggesting the lease was fake. Records are still handwritten. Can I reclaim the land legally? What’s the usual resolution and legal process? Location: Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh.

1- As per section 156 of Uttar Pradesh Zamindari abolition and land reforms act 1950, Lease is not permissible on normal circumstances. 2- There is contradictory in your question between sale deed and lease deed. 3- Please show relevant papers to get right legal opinion.
