Deletion of name of one joint owner

I have a flat jointly owned by me and my wife since 2016. The mutation of the flat has not been done yet. I want to transfer my share of the property to my wife so that she is the sole owner. Do I need to complete the mutation first before I can transfer my share to her?

Namaste. Since you and your wife are the joint owners of the property in order to transfer your shares you need to make a gift deed. please note that normally mutation is not required in such cases therefore only a legal document would do
