Delay in possession of flat by builder, please advise what can be done

The possession of my flat has ben delayed by more than an year. I want to claim the penalty in terms of monetory loss due to rental loss, tax benefit, followup and other clauses that may be applicable. Please guide me how should I send a notice to the builder and claim the penalty amount with interest.
Yes you can send a legal notice to builder for recovery of rent amount, and compensation for delayed possession also monetary compensation for the mental agony that you suffer due to delayed possession.
