Delay in claiming CC what action can be taken against the builder.

04-Dec-2023 (In Property Law)
Booked a flat in July 2015 with fairly big builder in Mumbai. Construction was supposed to start in August/September 2015. Builder has been claiming CC had been delayed ever since. Other projects that started thereafter have CC and have started. What is legal recourse in this situation?

This is a typical problem which is faced the majority of consumers. There are different options available to you. You may choose to file a FIR against the Builder. The Mumbai Police has issued a notification to immediately arrest Builders against whom fir has been lodged for taking money and not commencing the project. You may also choose to file a consumer complaint or a civil suit to recover your money.

at the time of booking what documents were signed by you. you can opt for a legal recourse as to delay in construction. Also you must have your allotment letter in place . The allotment letter must state the possession date and you should have checked the documents of the developers before going for booking the flat.
