Conversion of flat/building commercial to residential flat is it possi

I am buying a new flat in pune ...I m buying it for residential purpose... But now the builder is saying that flat comes under a commercial property and they assuring us that they will convert it into residential by the 2 months ..Is it possible to convert such thing??

Yes it is possible to convert the user of the property from the planning authority.
The Builder can submit amended plans for approval of the planning authority and once approved, same can be used for residential user.
In this scenario, you are advised to enter into all the necessary legal documents relating to property to avoid any complications in the future.
