conversion of commercial to residential house tax

my home is registered as commercial property but it is residential property, and we are paying tax for commercial. what's is the procedure to change from commercial to residential ?
It is the town planning authority which classifies a property as residential, industrial or commercial. Based on their classification, the local municipal authority levies the property tax. Apply to the town planning authority concerned at your place first for reclassification, and then approach the list cal municipal authority for change of tax assessment.
