08-Oct-2023 (In Property Law)
We are residing in a house on salami bhada ( lump sum amount paid in the beginning) in 1994. Its been 26 years. Can we claim for ownership right of the property. If yes, what is the process. If no, is there any other alternative.

It is a settled principle that once a tenant, always a tenant. you cannot claim ownership. but there is lots of protection for you against eviction. Landlord may not be able to evict you easily.
