Claim on mother's property after receiving gift deed

10-Oct-2023 (In Property Law)
The property in Chennai is in my grandmother's name and she has three children. She had written a will saying this property will be given to my father after her death. Before her(my grandmother's) death, she gifted a "part" of property to one of her daughters. Now my father wants to sell the remaining part of the property. And elder sister does not have any objection for my father to sell the property. Question is can the other sister who after receiving the gift deed claim the remaining part of property(part of property)?

If she has written a will bequeathing the property to your father, then nobody else can claim a share. However, the will must be put for probate before the court. ``````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````

Dear sir, As per Hindu law if a person purchased a property by his own fund it means the property is self acquired property the property owner can execute a sale, gift deeds and will is valid. nobody claim the self acquired property and objections over the genuine WILL. it valid only for will holder if anybody challenge against a will over a self acquired property is not maintainable & valid
