Chacha sold house with his brothers consent

21-Jan-2023 (In Property Law)
This is about a slum house in Mumbai. This was originally owned by my late grandfather where my father's elder bother used to stay. But recently he (my father's elder brother) sold that house without consulting his mother ( my grandmother) or any of his three bothers including my father. When we consulted him ( my father's edler bother) he said that the house belongs to him as he is managing affairs from last 20 years. Interesting part is, now even light bill is on his ( my father's elder brother) name, which 10 years back was on my late grandfather's name. I don't understand how he did that, should we go with a notice. Please advise

This is my response to you: 1. You can first send a legal notice to him; 2. Then you can approach the SRA authority if it comes under it; 3. You can also file an NC against him; 4. Last option is to file a suit in the civil court and claim compensation or damages; 5. Consult a local lawyer and take steps.
