I and my dad are joint owners of a house. I want to know whether after my dad's death will I become the sole owner of the house or there will be some other person apart from me. my mom has expired long ago and my dad has 2 children from his second marriage.what if, my dad makes a will and specifically mentions that after his death the said property will go to me..

: If you dad dies intestate meaning thereby that without leaving a will, then his half share in the joint property will devolve among all the legal heirs in accordance with the provisions of the Hindu Succession Act, 1956. If he leaves behind a will, and specifically mentions that this joint property shall devolve upon you wholly after his death, then you will become the sole owner of the property.
