Can a stepson get a share in his stepfather's property?

I am Hindu I am a step son but my father did not adopt me .My mother got her share and my share in cash from previous marriage it was year 1995 I was then15 years old My step father purchased property in his name now My step brother from same mother claims the whole property my mothers name has been changed at the time of her second marriage how can I get my share My step father is alive mothers identity is changed name
You equally entitled to share along with your brother but you have to prove that you are the sons same mother and are equally entitled to share in the property. But the process is cumbersome for that you have to take recourse to the court of law
