Builder send notice for putting grills in the balcony

05-Mar-2023 (In Property Law)

I am living in Casario Lodha, Dombivali. I have own house and we put grill to cover the open balcony due to my child safety. But our builder (lodha) sent notice to remove by giving reason of FSI voilation. Also they said as per the KDMC rule, it is not allowed. They want us to put shutter door which can be easily open and mishap can happen. Please guide.

For this question you need to look into the details of your FSI and KDMC rules as they vary from district to district. If they specify that you are not allowed to put a grill then you should avoid doing so. But since it’s the matter of your child's safety then you can approach the concerned office and request them to grant you the permission in order to safeguard you child's safety.
