Aunt after selling her share of property, trying to get share from us.

Agreement was written to me by my grandmother that her property will belonged to me after her death. after one year of the agreement written over. she sell her Half of property to third party person.few days back my grand father died After death of my grand father we noticed that issue.My Father died when i am 9 months old.agreement written date July 2008.Selling property date is 2009 august.this is joint property to my grand mother and my aunty.from last 35 years property tax was paying on my grand mother name.my aunty sell her property long back. Now claiming part in our share. What to do?

The nature of the agreement that you are referring to needs to be looked into. If it was a Will then your grandmother could have revoke it.

Further, the nature of the property will also make a difference on the outcome of your case. If this is ancestral property then each of you would have a specific share in the property. You may file a partition suit to have the property to claim your share therein.

If the property was self acquired then you would have to rely on the agreement.
