Ancestral property taken by father and compensation given to sisters.

10-Nov-2023 (In Property Law)

My father has two sisters. My father's father is expired and mother is still alive. We have one ancestral property and my father wanted this. As part of this settlement, my father gave compensation amount to each sister. But we didn't have any written settlement document with us. Now my ask is, what kind of paper work/document to be made to revoke their rights on ancestral property as my father already gave the settlement amount. Please advise.

Your father has to execute a family settlement agreement where he needs to specify the settlement amount which he has paid and thus get the settlement agreement registered.

Further you should also get a relinquish deed executed in favour of your father and get the same also registered
