Want to sell my car on which other party filed FIR

Got an car accident and FIR done by other party before 30 months can I sell my Car.
This is my response to you:
1. Since the accident occurred 30 months ago, case might still be pending in court?
2. You must take permission of the court or police station to sell your car;
3. It would be illegal to sell the car without taking an leave of the court of police station since the car is the evidence of the case pending;
4. Therefore do the needful, clear all the legal and documental formalities and then only sell the car.
