Tenent Absonded - House locked. Can i file case against him

Dear sir , I am a owner of the house , my Tenent left my house without returning the key and absconded last 6 months and rent also not paid for 7 months . I complaint at local police station also and came to know that he already accused in one another case and fir is filed agsingt him . Now I am having another Set of my house keys Can I open the house ? How to get legal remedy ? On this situation Pls guide

You can send him a legal notice demanding the possession of your said property along with the rent and if he denies then you can break open the lock after filing a complaint in the nearest police station. Also, you can file civil recovery suit against him in the jurisdictional civil court.
