Subject: Urgent Legal Advice on Security Deposit Refund

23-Mar-2025 (In Landlord/Tenant Law)
Description: We rented a flat in Greater Noida on 10th Oct, but no rental agreement was ever signed between us and the owner. On 10th Feb, we informed him about vacating on 10th March, and he assured a refund. Later, he refused, demanding a new tenant first. Due to this, we lost our new flat. On 16th March, he forcibly evicted us within hours, leaving us homeless. Now, he refuses to return ₹17,000. We faced financial loss & harassment. We are students, what should we do in such case ?
