Request for Refund of Token Advance for Rental House in Bangalore

06-Nov-2024 (In Landlord/Tenant Law)
I was looking for a rental house in Bangalore and found one on NoBroker. I contacted the owner, and we agreed on an ₹80,000 advance, with a ₹30,000 token paid before signing. However, when the owner showed the agreement, he increased the advance and added other fees. I decided not to proceed. Now, when I ask for the token advance refund, he doesn’t answer my calls or keeps delaying the payment. How can I get my token advance back?

As per your query above it clearly states that, you have not agreed with the rental agreement and you have not signed the rental agreement, so in this case you can send a legal notice to the owner from an advocate by mentioning all the details of the rental agreement and a photo copy of the rental agreement if you have and mentioning all the details of the rental agreement and giving him particular time to return back the advance amount.
