Procedure of staying in Pagdi system

We are living in a pagdi system. The landlord insists that after marriage the daughter of the house is not allowed to stay there and intends to send a notice regarding the same. Does this have some basis or he is simply trying to scare us for easy money?

There is no bar for a married daughter to stay in the house of the tenant. The landlord is just trying to scare you for extracting money. You need no panic. If at all any coercive steps are taken you can always safeguard your interest and right by taking appropriate legal action
