lease Property issue

18-Nov-2023 (In Landlord/Tenant Law)
There is a clause in the lease agreement "The lease shall be valid for a period of Seven (7) years beginning on the 1st day of January 2008 or until the Departments construction activities in the region are complete". As on today 18-nov-2016, the construction work is not completed. Want to know is that contract is still valid or not?

it is not clear from your query, whether the lease is registered. The lease will be valid and the condition will be invalid as the same is vague and no binding conclusion can be reached for such terms. What is the termination clause as per ur agreement. You can terminate the lease with a Notice of termination.
