Is it necessary to increase rent by 10% after on year

owner is asking for 10% increase in the rent is it necessary to increase rent every 1 year
No it is not necessary but it is the sole discretion of the landlord to seek an increase in rent if he is entering into a fresh contract/rent agreement. What you can do at the most is convince him to not increase it by 10 but by 7-8.
