Dont want to rent out my house anymore : what is my legal liability

20-May-2025 (In Landlord/Tenant Law)
I had put out an ad to rent out my house from 1st June 2025 and found a tenant who agreed to my rent ask and made an offer. I sent a lease copy for signing 2 weeks back. No money has been transferred however the tenant asked for some appliance related requests over email; which I denied. Tenant also subsequently agreed but now I somehow don't want to give my house to this tenant anymore as i want to stay in my house longer. Can I say no now despite so many email exchanges and discussions

Hello Sir/mam If no lease was signed by both parties and no money was exchanged, you can likely back out without legal liability. The tenant’s remedies are limited unless they can prove reliance or a signed agreement. Feel free to Contact over phone call for further assistance or advice. Thank you Regards Advocate Kuber Hooda
