Can i enter into rental agreement for 8 months without registration

Want to rent commercial premises for 8 months.can i enter into rent agreement without registeration? Pl advise .Thanks

Yes certainly. Law doesn't require registration for such an agreement. Please contact for assistance in drafting a fool proof commercial lease agreement to avoid litigation in future. I've been drafting several lease agreements for my corporate clients.

Yes you can enter into an agreement without registration for 8 months, but it would be more clear if you could provide which State is the tenanted property located in, because Tenancy laws vary from State to State. Such as in Delhi, if the tenancy is for less than a year, then even an oral agreement is sufficient to constitute tenancy.
