what is the minimum time period to become a permanent employee from contractual employee in a Private company at delhi . i join i company xyz pvt ltd in a delhi on August 2018 my stipend was ₹9500 ( they hire me on a contract of 6 month) and on 2019 AUG they put me on Onroll position my stipend becomes ₹10753 in hand plus ₹1400 EPF, in march 2020 they said they will make permanent employee and my salary will be ₹18500. but due to lock down they didn't make me permanent and pay me only ₹10753 .i work for a company in delhi for 20 months and they are paying me ₹10753 +₹1400 epf. i want to know is this right to work in a company for 20 months and getting stipend of only ₹12k in delhi for a graduate person ?

you can file case for payment of minimum wages in the concerned court. as far as issue of your permanency arises the court cannot direct the employer to make you permanent unless you have worked for 10 years. your appointment has only been extending as per the will of your employer on temporary basis.
