What can be done when MNC terminate employee without reason?

Hello Can any corporate MNC ask a top performing employee to resign without a reason. Performance is not an issue and there is no business restructuring, so the position is still there. Resignation pressure is happening simply when employee complained about workload issues 8 months back and this pressure is being suddenly built since last month.
