Resignation and Notice period and salary in lieu of notice

24-Aug-2023 (In Labour & Service Law)
My company follows a 2 months notice period policy as mentioned in the Offer of Employment Letter. The offer also provides an additional Clause which is as mentioned in the Offer as follows - "14.2 Employee shall be entitled to resign by giving the company or any person designated by the company notice in writing or salary in lieu of the notice as per the provisions laid down for the employee in the clause 14.3 above" the salary shall be the cost to the company please note - it is typo but in my offer letter there's no clause no 14.3 Now i have put my resignation few days ago and due to some unavoidable issues requested for one month notice and the remaining month , i have offered to pay the salary in lieu of the notice. This is been contended by the employer as it is only applicable in case i am ready to pay the salary for 2 months of my notice period, and not partial payment and partial serving of notice Please advise in this case how can i take forward my case

in this case you can send a legal notice to the opposite party and state your demands and contentions. if they donot comply with the terms of the notice then you can file a recovery suit under order 32 of CPC if there is some money due to them.
