Resignation and notice period.

I have resigned & ready to serve the notice period for 2 months as per the company policy. My manager had accepted my resignation & put my last working day after 20days only but I want to serve my full notice for 60days. As I don't have any opportunities in my hand. Please suggest bcoz if I was serving less than my notice period then I had to pay back to my organisation for not serving the notice period.
This is my response to you:
1. Send a formal letter to the employer and HR department;
2. If he does not follow the company policy then send a legal notice;
3. Do the necessary otherwise he will stop your payment of salary;
4. Be safe from your side and take precautions;
5. Consult a local lawyer by showing your appointment letter etc.
