Recruitment of ex servicemen as assistant in LIC

I am serving defence personnel selected in LIC as assistant in ex servicemen category. As per DOPT OM serving defence personnel are permitted to apply for civil post one year before discharge. IAF issued me NOC which states that I will be released from IAF during intervening period ie issue of NOC and scheduled retirement. I produced NOC during document verification on 22 Jan 20. I undertook that I will produce discharge book within one month on receipt of appointment letter. On 03 Feb I received email from LIC to confirm whether I can submit discharge book by 07 Feb 20 and join duty. I responded by citing my undertaking and asked provisional appointment letter with one month time. LIC again sent mail on 17 Feb to join by 29 Feb. LIC has not issued me appointment letter till date. I have been selected by LIC Meerut Division. The division does not responded to my request. I took matter with LIC HQ but they say division is responsible. Pl advise legal action,& it can be taken in Delhi
Because you selected in Meerut, therefore, you can file a writ Petition Civil in Allahabad for relief. DELHI High Court will not entertain writ Petition due to lack of jurisdiction. Therefore you have a good case.
