I absconded from a govt Bank and joined central govt service
07-Oct-2023 (In Labour & Service Law)
I absconded from a govt Bank about 1 Year back after taking medical leave. Later I didn't respond to their mails and joined central govt service 6 months back. Now, the bank claims me to be their employee. They sent a letter to my current employer. Is it legal to do so?
Dear Client,
If you have not formally resigned from your post from the previous employer and absconded after taking the medical leave, then technically you have not left the employment of your previous employer. They have every right to send the letter to your new employer.
It would be great to amicably resolve the issue with your previous and current employer.
Best regards,
