Employer threatening with personal liability for a commercial dispute between two companies.

Can the employer threaten with personal liability for the commercial dispute between them and the vendor. They put my salary on hold citing legal implications and inquiry.

No, the employer cannot do so as Salary is a Right of an employee. Also, threatening employee with personal liability is not as per law. A legally compliant response should be given to the employer if this treatment persists.
