( 29 April 2020 ) My current employer is forcing me to serve full notice period & work till defined 60 days. while My new employer asked me to join on or before 15 June 2020 ( & serve notice period of 40 days ) and my joining depends upon if I am able to successfully negotiate for 40 days Let me know what to do in this case if negotiation fails?

This is my response to you: 1. If you do not comply with the your notice period then your company can chase you; 2. Although you can take a leave if you are in red zone wherein the central govt over rules all other employee bonds; 3. Consult a local lawyer and take steps.
