Complaint against company for not paying gratuity amount

I served 4 yrs 10 months and 21 days in an MNC Gurgaon. It was a continuous service without any unpaid leaves. Company refuses to pay gratuity citing Gratuity Law 5yrs rule. And says 4 yrs 240 days criteria is only for determining continuous service. I checked with different companies in same industry and they are paying gratuity at 4.8 yrs of service. Can anyone advise me how, and what steps can I take to avail my gratuity benefits. Being a disabled person, hiring a lawyer will cost me so much and gratuity amount is little.
