Can I claim Gratuity to Proprietorship Firm

I had worked with Applied Engineering Services from 15th June 2011 to 09th Aug. 2018. First they told that they will honerable amount but after jonined with another company they are transferred Rs.21000.00 only. Is can I claim for Gratuity to Proprietorship Firm? Total 8-9 peoples are working in Pune Branch. Other Branches are also separated but we handled all from Pune only but separate firms shown. Please suggest about Gratuity is claimable or not?

This is my response to you: 1. Since for a continuous time period less than 10 people worked in a year; 2. If the company is registered under gratuity act then it will apply nonetheless; 3. Consult a local lawyer and take steps.
